Jimena Velarde-Alvarez (b. 2001, Lima, Peru) is an artist currently based in Brooklyn, NY. She received a BFA in Painting from the Rhode Island School of Design. Rooted in quiet inquiry, her work reflects on the tension between permanence and impermanence. She moves through themes of memory, time, connection, and the inner landscape, tracing the echoes of lived experience. Through layered surfaces and shifting forms, her work evokes a deep awareness of the self and the transient nature of reality, inviting the viewer into a state of reflection—attuned to the invisible currents that weave us into the fabric of the universe.
